The Vurcon PL-63x3000 is the variant with a distance between centers of 3,000 mm of the PL-63, the highest-capacity model in the Vurcon family of flat-bed CNC lathes. It combines the maximum swing over bed of ø630 mm, the maximum spindle torque of 2,000 Nm and an extended longitudinal travel designed for long rotating components in heavy industrial sectors.

• Machining long shafts and rollers: rotating components up to 3,000 mm between centers in the paper, textile, energy or steel sectors, where length, large diameter and torque capacity are all required.

• Structure and guideways sized for heavy-duty work: Z-axis guideway width of 600 mm and on the X-axis of 300 mm, spindle center height of 1,075 mm and tool dimensions of 32x32 mm (external) and 32 mm (internal). Control and ease of use

The PL-63x3000 is equipped with the CNC control SIEMENS 828D with SHOPTURN and advanced technology functions. SHOPTURN is one of the most widespread conversational programming environments in European industry: it makes programming heavy turning cycles easier through guided graphical menus, which are especially useful when parts are long and programs are extensive. Standard equipment includes mechanical handwheels with adjustment dials, lubrication system, coolant, three-color light tower and CE certificate.

Configuration options

The PL-63x3000 accepts specific configurations for heavy production: hydraulic tailstock, hydraulic chuck for automatic clamping, additional steady rests adapted to the predominant part diameter and chip evacuation systems.
