The Vurcon PL-63x2000 is the variant with a distance between centers of 2,000 mm of the PL-63, the highest-capacity model in the Vurcon family of flat-bed CNC lathes. It combines the maximum swing over bed of ø630 mm and the maximum spindle torque of 2,000 Nm characteristic of the series with a medium-to-long longitudinal travel that makes it possible to handle industrial-size shafts and rollers.

• Machining industrial shafts and rollers: large-diameter rotating components up to 2,000 mm between centers, in sectors such as paper, textiles, energy and steel, where both length and torque capacity are required.

• Oversized structure and rigidity for heavy parts: Z-axis guideway width of 600 mm and on the X-axis of 300 mm, spindle center height of 1,075 mm and external/internal tool dimensions of 32x32/32 mm. Control and ease of use

The PL-63x2000 is equipped with the CNC control SIEMENS 828D with SHOPTURN and advanced technology functions. SHOPTURN is one of the most widespread conversational programming environments in European industry: it simplifies the programming of heavy turning cycles through graphical menus and significantly reduces setup time compared with manual G-code programming. Standard equipment includes mechanical handwheels with adjustment dials, three-color light tower and CE certificate.

Configuration options

The PL-63x2000 accepts specific configurations depending on the sector and the predominant part: hydraulic tailstock, hydraulic chuck for automatic clamping, chip evacuation systems for intensive machining and tooling packages according to the type of operation.
