The Vurcon PL-50x1000 is the variant with a distance between centers of 1,000 mm in the PL-50 series, the mid-range position in Vurcon's line of flat-bed CNC lathes. It balances intermediate part capacity with the power and standard accessories of the PL-50: maximum swing over bed ø500 mm, 15 kW main motor and continuous spindle speed of 30-3000 rpm.

The tool shank size of 25x25 mm and the tailstock with a quill of ø75 mm and a travel of 150 mm accommodate robust toolholders and clamping work.

Control and ease of use

The PL-50x1000 is available with the leading CNC controls on the market —SIEMENS, FAGOR and FANUC—, allowing the workshop to align the machine with its existing fleet. The standard configuration includes the Fagor 8060 Elite-T-ICU, with its conversational environment, guided turning cycles and ease of programming, especially valued in workshops with operators of mixed skill levels. The manual handwheels complement the CNC control with sensitivity for approaches and fine adjustments.

Configuration options

The PL-50x1000 accepts additional configurations to automate clamping and chip evacuation —hydraulic tailstock, hydraulic chuck, chip collectors— and turret adaptations depending on the sector and the predominant type of production. Compatibility with the main controls also makes it possible to adjust the training investment to the workshop's team.
