The Vurcon PL-80x2000 flat-bed lathe is the intermediate configuration of the PL-80 series, combining the swing over bed of 800 mm —the largest in the entire PL range— with a distance between centers of 2000 mm. Within the family, it is positioned as a versatile machine for workshops that machine both short bulky parts and long shafts in the 1.5 to 2 meter range, without moving up to the PL-80x3000.

With a spindle nose A2-11, bar capacity of ø104 mm, motor of 15 kW and automatic 3-speed gearbox with frequency inverter which keeps torque available up to 1,200 rpm, the PL-80x2000 is designed for heavy machining of steels and cast iron. The high-rigidity cast iron structure and a footprint of 4807x2040x1855 mm position it as a well-balanced machine in terms of capacity and floor space.

Optionally available: Fanuc 0i-TF Plus and Siemens 828D, aligning the machine with the existing CNC fleet and the CAM post-processors already validated in the workshop.

Configuration options

Standard equipment includes steady rest and follow rest, manual tailstock, high-rigidity cast iron structure and automatic 3-speed gearbox. As available options, the tailstock can be configured in a hydraulic version and the CNC control can be Fanuc or Siemens according to the customer's preferences.
